As for Ayn Rand
Rand was not a Libertarian, she actually held them in contempt. They reason was for their lack of a moral basis for their political philosophy and because they see all government as evil. Rand's of government is that it is good so long as it is limited to applying force in a retaliatory fashion. As to Atheism, she did not say that "if there is proof show it", she said the because the super-natural by it's very definition fall outside of the natural, no evidence is possible.

Pretty much just Ayn Rand defending her views on religion!
I really like Ayn Rand even more after seeing this, and no, I'm not an Atheist, and I really don't think Ayn Rand is either, not in the way that the interviewers try to portray her. Kinda feel sorry for her, she seems to be saying that if there is a god, proove it, but until then God is an unkown, possibly fictional factor that should not affect "grown up" thought processes. I wish the interviewers had asked her more questions on politics and philosophy and not so much on why she doesn't actively believe in god, but she handles their questions very well...
